May 2008 Archives

I found The Daily Kitten through Cute Overload (of course!) and checked it for ages in the run-up to getting the Chairman. Of course I submitted him and hey! He was chosen:

I'm going to be doing a cull of links from the left hand side of this blog - if your link goes somewhere it shouldn't, or nowhere at all, you're about to go. I'll make the cut on Friday - let me know before then if I should still keep your url somewhere, if you're planinng on a redesign or relaunch soon?

Also, LOVING the twitter at the moment. You can find me by clicking on the purple block if you wish - I feel strangely compelled to tell everyone how hungy I am or what Chairman Meow is up to in 140 characters or less! Get on it!

I'm currently putting Ian through a masterclass in gangster/mobster films - I'm educating myself more than anything, and have come to realise there's a lot to love about these kinds of films!

Below is a list of what we've seen, and another list of what we're planning to see:

SEEN
The Godfather
The Godfather II
Goodfellas
Mean Streets
The Departed
Scarface

TO SEE
Carlito's Way
Casino
Infernal Affairs
Eastern Promises
A History of Violence
Ransom (tenuous, I know!)

So, come on, what have I missed out off the list? Is Heat a gangster flick? Does just about anything with de Niro or Pacino qualify? And since when was Joe Pesci so freaking messed up?
